WHY
You aren’t alone.
Many, many women are suffering in some way because of their abortion. We can help.
Counselors and clinicians often don’t know how to help women heal from abortion because it’s not talked about. We can help.

There is not a day I don’t think about the guilt or think about what if I did things differently. There is not a day I don’t feel so alone due keeping my abortion a secret from friends and family. I am in need of support or somewhere I can vent and grieve.
I recently had an abortion and I thought that is what I wanted to do, but now that it’s done, I hate myself for doing it and regret it everyday.

Reaching out, getting support, and finding healing after my abortions changed my life, saved my life. It was the most important thing I’ve ever done.
I had an abortion 50 years ago. The Supreme Court ruling is bringing up a massive amount of feelings and trauma, and I just want to talk to somebody.
After an abortion experience, you may feel

But later, you may feel

I feel ashamed. Talking to someone might help, but I feel like I deserve the pain I feel.
I had an abortion three months ago. I’ve tried to suppress my emotions since. It recently hit me that my child is gone. I’m not sure I made the right decision.
I have insurmountable grief. Regret. I feel like a horrible person.
I had an abortion last year. I didn’t see any other choice. I was hurting and so angry then. Now, I’m starting to believe this baby would have been a positive force in our lives and not a terrible situation I thought it would be at the time. I have so much regret.
Whether you experienced abortion days or weeks ago or years or decades ago, healing is possible.
We’re here for you.

It’s been years since my three abortions, I don’t know why I’m so emotional now. I can barely keep it together. I registered for a support group through Support After Abortion. We’ve had our first class and I got to meet other women struggling just like me. It’s not easy to talk about my abortion, but I’m not alone in my pain anymore.
I had multiple abortions when I was younger. When I look at my kids now, I am painfully reminded of the children I didn’t have. I still feel guilty and grieve the loss of my babies.
Now is the time for me to start healing from my three abortions. I am in my mid 60’s and have no living children. I went years where I felt like my abortions didn’t bother me. However, now that I am reflecting on my life in a new way, I see that was never the truth. I suffered in silence for far too long. But now I am in an abortion healing group, and I can finally begin to lift this heavy burden and uncover this secret. I am moving forward and know I am not alone.
No one tells you when you have one how you will feel years later. I had one at 25, but no one tells you how you feel at 50 about it.

Healing = Freedom
I can not begin to express my gratitude for each woman that enters into healing. They emulate courage, strength, and will. They push me to look back at my own journey and allow me to share where I am now, but also what I came out of. Sharing our stories within a support group helps us all to heal.
