Maybe they’ve held it for years, or maybe their pain is raw and recent. What they often need first is something simple but powerful: a safe, compassionate place to be honest—and someone who will listen with love and help them find hope and healing.
I called the After Abortion Line out of desperation. I couldn’t go on like this any longer. The pain was all consuming. The phone rang, and a woman answered. She let me cry, told me it was OK to feel. She stayed on the phone with me until I felt better; drained, but better. I just finished my healing group and cannot believe how different I am today than Iwas just a few months ago. Thank you for saving my life.
We provide compassionate, judgment-free support to anyone struggling after abortion. When someone calls our After Abortion Line, searches our provider directory, or accesses our resources, they find what they’ve been desperately seeking: hope and a place where they can finally be open about their pain without fear of condemnation.
