Support After Abortion

Informed Choices Pregnancy & Parenting is dedicated to providing support and healing to anyone after an abortion. We understand the potential emotional pain both women and men may experience after an abortion. Statistics show that this often becomes a burden that results in feelings of guilt, shame, regret, and more. In many cases, these emotions persist long after an abortion, making it feel like you’ll always have to deal with them, but that is not the case. If so, Informed Choices wants you to know that there is hope and that we care about your recovery.

Post-Abortion Stress Syndrome (PASS)

The residual after-effects of abortion can cause an ongoing struggle with symptoms like stress, grief, depression and more. This is often referred to as Post-Abortion Stress Syndrome (PASS) and is similar to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). If these feelings are not addressed and processed through, they can go on for months or even years after your abortion experience. One of the best ways to find healing and peace is to process your abortion experience in a safe space. Being able to open up with other women who know exactly what you’re going through and can offer their insight and support is an invaluable part of the healing process.

Healing the Heartbreak of Abortion

Informed Choices Pregnancy & Parenting is offering a FREE 8-week journey for women who have experienced loss through abortion. Many times people think of the physical effects an abortion can have, but may not consider the emotional aspect. Not processing your abortion experience can lead to substance abuse, negatively impact future relationships, lead to depression and suicidal thoughts, and more. The road to recovery may not be easy, but we will be by your side every step of the way, providing support and resources to help you on your journey to healing.
