H.E.A.R.T. stands for Healing the Effect of Abortion Related Trauma.
H.E.A.R.T. is a 7 week Christian, bible-based recovery program for post abortive women which assists in working through the gamut of emotions associated with Post Abortion Symptoms, (PAS), some of which may include sadness, anger, isolation, guilt, regret as well as a multitude of other emotions and feelings. This program offers a safe, nonjudgmental space, and compassionately guides women through specific steps to emotional healing, forgiveness, redemption and restoration.
This is a confidential, FREE program. All materials are provided. Manuals are donated through the Cleveland Pregnancy Center/Lili Center, which has donors who contribute money specifically designated to the H.E.A.R.T. Program.
You may bring bottled water or a drink with you. You may also bring a snack or dinner if you are coming from work for evening sessions.
Other items that are optional would be: a favorite pen/pencil and a highlighter (we highly recommend highlighters).
Dress code is: COZY/COMFY!
Sessions are held for 7 consecutive weeks and last 3-4 hours. Typically sessions are held on Monday or Tuesday evenings at the center. Start times & dates are TBD.
Due to the sensitive nature of the topic and the intimate issues discussed, participant numbers are limited to 4 per session. A spot is reserved for you as soon as you commit. We also need a commitment from you that you will attend every session. Sessions are cumulative and each builds on the previous one, so if you miss one, you miss a huge portion of the content, and also a part of your healing journey.
There will be homework…as with everything, you will get out what you put in. The 2 facilitators have been through H.E.A.R.T., and will never ask you to do anything they haven’t done themselves…they always share their experiences and the work they did prior to assigning any assignments so you have an idea of how to approach them.
After a commitment to attend is made, the facilitators will need to meet with you for ½ hour prior to our start date to have a little “meet and greet” with you and to have you fill out some confidential paperwork and answer any concerns and/or questions you may have.

This is an amazing opportunity for healing. Both facilitators, Lisa and Judy, went through the H.E.A.R.T. program in 2005 and although both have very different stories and experiences, they both received a healing they would have never imagined. They are so grateful for the healing and forgiveness God blessed them with. They have been facilitating groups for the past 19 years, and highly recommend this program and strongly believe in it.
