Our healing groups have served over 20 people since we began offering groups through a virtual platform in May 2020. The virtual healing platform has allowed us to connect all across the United States. Our facilitators have shared that the virtual platform has been effective in engaging and helping clients, which was further affirmed by our participants expressing positive feelings regarding the healing process.

Abortion healing is a journey. Entering into this process certainly takes courage and commitment. In our experiences with clients, we have learned that there is no “one size fits all” approach; each person’s experience is unique and takes time.

The abortion healing process is a journey. Entering into the healing process certainly takes courage and commitment. Through our experiences with clients, we have learned that there is no one size fits all approach, every person’s experience is unique and it takes time.

Our guest Beverly, on The Support After Abortion Healing Networktm, shared her own abortion healing process with us. Beverly was a teen when she experienced her first abortion. She felt alone, scared and didn’t know where to turn. She even chose to hide her abortion from the father of the baby, who is now her husband. Beverly reported that she felt depressed and anxious for a considerable time afterwards. It wasn’t until she entered into community with her church and began opening up about her abortion experience that she was able to heal from her abortion regret. Her work at Sisters For Life also supplied life-changing growth and freedom. Beverly feels empowered to bring a voice to the voiceless through sharing her testimony, encouraging families facing an unexpected pregnancy, and supporting other African Americans like herself from making the same decision she did.[ultimate_video u_video_url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a09KYfsXCSU” yt_autoplay=”” yt_sugg_video=”” yt_mute_control=”” yt_modest_branding=”” yt_privacy_mode=”” thumbnail=”custom” custom_thumb=”id^19685|url^https://supportafterabortion.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/The-abortion-healing-process-helps-men-and-women-find-purpose-from-pain-EP03.png|caption^null|alt^null|title^The abortion healing process helps men and women find purpose from pain EP03|description^null” play_size=”75″ enable_sub_bar=””]Sisters For Life is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization inspired by God and dedicated to defending the sanctity of life at every stage from conception to mature adulthood.
