Our first-ever Healing Network Virtual Conference was July 30 – August 1st. We are uniting abortion healing leaders, educating, and equipping them to provide more healing to those impacted by abortion. This week’s Healing Network Facebook Live event discussed the power shared vision and common goals for the Pro-Life movement. Tammy Brimmer Kocher and Tim Welsh spoke about their experience in the Pro-Life movement and how they’ve leveraged networking to collaborate and support each other’s organizations.
Tammy Brimmer Kocher runs the New Life Pregnancy Center of Minneapolis. The center offers pregnancy testing, counseling, ultrasounds, healing after abortions programs (both group and individual), and adoption services for birth parents and adoptive families.
Tim Welsh has almost two decades of experience in the Pro-Life movement in the Ohio area. He ran Ohio Right to Life for ten years, Pregnancy Decisions Health Center for about nine years, and currently manages the Bethesda Healing Ministry.
Tim has a genuine heart to serve. He created Bottoms Up, an organization that donates diapers to single mothers and families in need. Lastly, Tim hosts an event called Me Too, which unites women who have had abortions with other women, healing facilities, and support programs.[ultimate_video u_video_url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRjf-JozJE0″ yt_autoplay=”” yt_sugg_video=”” yt_mute_control=”” yt_modest_branding=”” yt_privacy_mode=”” thumbnail=”custom” custom_thumb=”id^19674|url^https://supportafterabortion.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/healing-network-ep13.png|caption^null|alt^null|title^healing-network-ep13|description^null” play_size=”75″ enable_sub_bar=””]Tammy and Tim have been in the industry for years and developed a great friendship. They’re able to bounce ideas off each other, provide resources to one another, and be each other’s support system. Both Tammy and Tim gave pointers for those attending the Healing Network Virtual Conference on networking with other leaders, organizations, and practices to strengthen networks.
“The key is to be connected to people who are doing things well and learn from them. You won’t always have all of the answers. There will be things you do well, and things you do not so well. And that’s ok. Try to find other people who you can engage with that will encourage you to grow. Do what God has called you to do and do it well!” – Tammy Brimmer Kocher
“I have three things. First, be creative, innovative, and use your imagination. Be open to new ideas. Get rid of the “but we’ve always done it this way” mindset. Change your way of thinking.
Secondly, marry these two thoughts – I am abundant, and nothing or no one will get in your way and wake up every morning with a contributive mindset. If you think scarcity, everything is a competition, and you’re not as effective. Lastly, don’t be afraid to lead.” – Tim Welsh.
These two are a wealth of knowledge. They’ll be presenting at the Healing Network Virtual Conference. Tim’s presentation is called the Male Perspective After An Abortion. Tammy’s presentation is Go Where the Clients Are: How to Reach Clients in Need of Healing. It’s not too late to attend. Sign up now for the Premium Pass!
